Reporting Identification Symbol (RIS)

A unique combination of three or four letters assigned to each reporting organization by DOE for the purpose of identification in the Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System database. Each contractor and facility RIS is associated with a specific DOE element. RIS codes can be obtained through the RSRT database administrator (DOE O 474.2, Chg 1)
