Privacy Control

An administrative, technical, or physical safeguard, as defined by NIST guidance, implemented within information systems and environments of operation that create, collect, use, process, store, maintain, disseminate, disclose, or dispose of PII. Selected controls ensure compliance with applicable privacy requirements, manage privacy risks, and must be documented, monitored, and periodically assessed for continued effectiveness.
