Mobile Device

For the purposes of DOE O 203.2, Mobile Technology Management mobile devices includes both government furnished and personally-owned devices unless specifically limited within the wording of the requirement. A mobile device is hardware and associated software and services capable of transmitting, receiving, processing, or storing information across a wireless medium. Examples include but are not limited to mobile phones, smart phones, tablet computers, laptops, mobile Wi-Fi hotspots, mobile printers, mobile point-of-sale devices, and any other wireless device capable of transmitting, receiving, processing, or storing information, as well as associated software and services.
