Key Risk

Key risks are a set of risks considered to be of particular interest to the project team. These key risks are those estimated to have the most impact on cost and schedule and could include project, technical, internal, external, and other sub-categories of risk. For example on a nuclear design project, the risks identified using the ―Risk and Opportunity Assessment‖ process may be considered a set of key risks on the project. Key Risks should be interpreted to have the same meaning as ―Critical Risks‖ as referred in DOE O 413.3B.
