Federal Information

Information that is created, collected, processed, maintained, disseminated, disclosed, or disposed of by or for the Federal Government, in any medium or form (as defined by OMB Circular A-130). At DOE, Federal Information may include information collected by a contractor at the direction of a Federal mandate or contract clause. Federal information does not include information that is defined to be information owned by the contractor pursuant to 48 C.F.R. 5204-3, Access to and Ownership of Records, as provided in each contract.
